The group is seeking an experienced and motivated postdoc with an expertise in dealing with micropattern gaseous detector. The group is involved in the R&D of gaseous detectors for the sPHENIX experiment approved for the construction at the Brookhaven National Laboratory. The sPHENIX detector will be equipped with compact and fast TPC read out by GEM-based amplification which shall operate in an ungated mode. The R&D aims at further (with respect to ALICE results) improvement of the IBF suppression and at the optimization of the readout element module design. The lab will later be used as the readout plane production site. The project is expected to take approximately 3 years based mainly in Israel with significant presence in the US.
