The Test Storage Ring (TSR) in Heidelberg

The TSR is a heavy ion storage ring located at the Max-Planck Institut fur Kernphysik, Heidelberg, Germany. The ring is used for a large variety of studies, related to the interaction of electrons and photons with atomic and molecular ions. The ring, which is 56 m in circumference, allows for storing atomic and molecular ions with kinetic energies of the order of MeV's for a time varying between few seconds to few hours.

The Test Storage Ring at the Max-Planck Institut, Heidelberg

We mainly use the TSR ring for the study of dissociative recombination processes as well as laser spectroscopy.

Here is a list of the publications related to our work, performed on the TSR, together with the group of the MPI, Heidelberg.
