The PC_Farm working computers are named eio05-eio36, the server name is physerv,
and the gates to the farm are physdsk1 and physdsk2.
Physdsk1 and Physdsk2 are the only computers which users should use inside the farm,
to test their jobs and submitting them to the working machines thru the PBS  batch program.

The gate to the farm machines is thru ssh to physdsk1 or physdsk2 only.
There is an agreement that Phenix-Ceres group members are using physdsk1 as their entering gate,
while all the rest are using physdsk2.

Each user with a PC farm account has the HOME directory
on the server disk /srv01/ , under his group ID.

Eeach disk contains a directory for each group, for example:

for PHENIX-CERES: /srv01/cgrp

 for ZEUS :  /srv01/zgrp

 for OPAL-ATLAS:  /srv01/agrp

 for DOMANY :  /srv01/dgrp

Each user  can open for himself a working space in those directories,
according to his group, for example : a ZEUS group member :

ssh   fhkatzh1@physdsk2.weizmann.ac.il
~ [1] cd  /pvfsa/zgrp/
~ [2]  mkdir  fhkatzh1
~ [3]  ls   -lad   /pvfsa/zgrp/fhkatzh1
drwxr-xr-x  13 fhkatzh1 zeus         1024 Oct 28 17:26 /pvfsa/zgrp/fhkatzh1/

All the PC Farm's disks (except /srv01 and /Local)
are NOT backed-up by the Computer Center.
They are
intended for temporary work and results files.

You must
run SFTP from an outside node to transfer files to/from the PC-farm computers, or use secure copy (scp) .
Only the gate machines, PHYSDSK1 and PHYSDSK2,  run the SFTP server daemon.
