Current Research Interests Work in particle physics attempts to
analyze new experimental results and guide future experiments. The main
direction is in understanding CP violation; i.e the
difference between particles and antiparticles and why all the matter we know
consists of particles and not antiparticles when
particles and antiparticles should have been created equally in the big
bang. The basic quantum theory underlying new neutrino experiments has
been clarified. Previous work on the theoretical guidelines for the use of x-rays
to study properties of materials has been updated in view of the new
synchrotron radiation light sources and is in use by experimenters today.
