Ph.D. and Post Doc Positions are currently available at the Braun Center for Sub Micron Research, in the Weizmann Institute of Science, Rehovot, Israel. Openings are available in a variety of topics in mesoscopic physics.
The subjects under study:
Phase measurements in complex mesoscopic systems.
Controlled dephasing of systems. For example: by the 'which path?' determination.
Entanglement of electrons in mesoscopic systems for EPR-type experiments.
Utilizing quantum shot noise measurements for determination of 'fractional charges' and statistics of particles.
Inducing superconductivity (via proximity) in high mobility 2DEG and study of mesoscopic superconducting devices.
Ttransport in one dimensional systems
Imaging the microscopic electronic properties of two dimensional systems
