Hiking in Marhtesh and Narhal Rhatira

While the remaining of the world is freezing cold, November is the perfect time for hiking in the vast desert of Israel.

The Rhatira team (from left to right, top to bottom): Masha, Lena, Julia, Mark, Annett, Tsahi, Yanir, Sean, Anna, Aynat, Laurence (behind the camera)

On Friday afternoon we climbed up the edge of the Big Crater (Marhtesh Ha-gadol, or Marhtesh Rhatira), a quite impressive little walk.

THIS is only part of the wonderful view that was waiting for us up there.

In the evening, Aynat attended to our camp fire. KOL HA-KAVOD !

Sean's highly successful culinary experiment : 1) wrap a banana in aluminium foil; 2) cook it in the fire for just a few minutes; 3) dissect it delicately; 4) stuff it with Kinder chocolate; 5) share it with your friends. It is absolutely delicious !

The Saturday hike was a beautiful walk through Narhal Rhatira.

Macro-sky, announcing rain.

Leaving Narhal Rhatira

Unexpected encounter !
