Career Center

A postdoctoral position is available immediately in my group jointly with the lab of Maike Bublitz, in the Department of Biochemistry, Oxford. The aim of this BBSRC-funded post is to develop a novel methodology for membrane protein crystallisation that utilises NMR-derived information and very high magnetic fields. Candidates with experience in membrane protein crystallisation and/or NMR are particularly encouraged to apply.

A post-doctoral position is available on Dynamics of novel microporous materials based on metal organic framework

The project addresses structural characterization and detailed investigation
of dynamics related to adsorption properties of novel microporous materials
based on stable metal-organic frameworks.

Johnson Matthey PLC is a world leader in advanced materials and catalyst technology with over 13 000 employees worldwide. The Technology Centre, based at Sonning Common, Reading, undertakes research work for the group.

We are looking for an experienced, engaged and development interested MR-physicist. Please submit any question about the position and your application as detailed below. Please note language requirement.

Forest and grasslands are the 2 main ecosystems limiting global warming thanks to their capacities to store carbon. Sap flow is one of the key process to mitigate climate. It first allows the photosynthesis and, then the transport of the sugars to the carbon sink. A better understanding of these flow and their variations in response of a climatic stress is of high importance to make sure that these ecosystems can continue to play their role.

Two postdoc positions are open in the Jerschow lab at New York University:

1) A postdoctoral position is available immediately to complete our team working on in-situ and in operando NMR/MRI of batteries and electrochemical devices.

NMR Postdoc position: From geochemistry to soil stabilization. 12 month, 2127€/month

Job description: A postdoctoral position in geochemistry is available at Montpellier University. The project uses multi-scale NMR techniques from nm to few cm to characterize alumino-silicate fluids dynamics. The successful candidate will work in collaboration between chemists, physicists and agronomists.

The Siemer lab at USC is looking for a post-doctoral associate with a background in NMR spectroscopy and knowledge of protein biochemical techniques. The lab studies the structure and dynamics, of functional and toxic amyloid fibrils. To this goal, we apply solid-state NMR spectroscopy together with other biochemical and biophysical methods.

there are two postdoctoral positions open at ETH Zurich in the field of DNP
in the groups of Sebastian Kozerke and Matthias Ernst.

We are seeking a PhD student to work in the NMR group at the University of Guelph. Our group interested in the development of solid-state NMR methods for the characterization of molecular structure, dynamics and interactions at atomic resolution. A successful candidate would work on the analysis of the relationship between membrane protein dynamics and function.

A PhD position (starting October 2018) is available in the NMR team of the Laboratory of Biomolecules, Sorbonne University, Paris. The PhD project, under the supervision of Prof. Olivier Lequin, is entitled: “Role of cell surface molecular interactions in the mechanism of entry of homeodomains”.

BASF has an opening for an Associate Research Engineer at the interface of Solid-State NMR and Surface Spectroscopy.

A PhD position is open in the field of NMR characterization of membrane-protein structure and function. The positions will be part of the research group of Manuel Etzkorn at the Biomolecular NMR Center of Düsseldorf University and the Helmholtz Research Center (Forschungszentrum) Jülich.

A postdoctoral position is available in the group of Nicolas Fawzi at Brown University.

We are looking for a motivated student interested in doing a 3-years PhD Studentship in Chemistry (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) in the research group of Dr Giuseppe Pileio (see https://generic.wordpress.soton.ac.uk/gpgroup/).
