Postdoctoral position in solid- and solution-state NMR of membrane proteins at College of Staten Island (CSI) – City University of New York, New York, USA

A Postdoctoral position is available to a highly motivated recent PhD graduate. The focus will be on the characterization of chromatin-binding proteins broadly involved in the DNA damage response using NMR spectroscopy. The work will be done in close collaboration with cell biologists.

Are you a structural biologist looking for an exciting career change in 2016?

Postdoc position available in the lab of Prof. Jeffrey Reimer at UC Berkeley. Interested and qualified individuals should send their cv to reimer@berkeley.edu. CV’s will be evaluated on the basis of the description
below.

Framework. In France, bituminized waste products (BWPs) have been produced to immobilize precipitation sludges resulting from effluent decontamination operations in nuclear fuel reprocessing facilities. Part of these BWPs is intended for being stored in geological conditions. Since water should resaturate the geological storage site, studying the behavior of BWPs under leaching conditions is a key point to describe the long term behavior of these wastes in geological storage conditions.

We invite applications for a 4-years PhD position in the field of biomolecular solid-state NMR at the Bijvoet Center, Utrecht University, The Netherlands. The research deals with the atomic-level characterization of bio-inspired self-assembling nanomaterials for pharmaceutical and medical applications using a combined approach of modern solid-state NMR & MD simulation methods. Further information to the project is available by email (to m.h.weingarth@uu.nl).

The Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) is seeking an experienced postdoctoral researcher to initiate activities in the area of nanometer-scale magnetic resonance (nano-MR). Such activities may include, but are not limited to, techniques based on magnetic resonance force microscopy (MRFM), or nitrogen vacancy (NV) centers. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in nano-MR technology. She/he will be a highly motivated individual, and will be interested in building an independent research group.

The Biomolecular NMR and crystallography lab at Paris Descartes University is inviting applications for a postdoctoral associate position in the area of RNA maturation in the group of Dr. Carine Tisné (http://lcrbw.pharmacie.univ-paris5.fr/spip.php?rubrique10).

The research project involves the structural investigation of biomolecules inside living cells with Nuclear Magnetic Resonance spectroscopy (NMR).
