Job Description:

MS/NMR/drug chemistry is a sub-division of the Small Molecule Method Development (SMMD) group of Pharmaceutical Development and Manufacturing Sciences-Analytical Development (PDMS-AD) and is responsible for:

The Van der Wel lab is looking for potential postdoctoral researchers with a background and/or interest in advanced magic-angle-spinning solid-state NMR. As described below, there are two different NIH-funded research projects available, focused either on protein aggregation and amyloid formation, or on mitochondrial protein-lipid interactions.  Applications are sought from individuals with expertise in biological solid-state NMR (preferred), or in biomolecular solution NMR.

Postdoctoral Research Associate in Structural Biology
University of Oxford, Department of Biochemistry, South Parks Road, Oxford
Grade 7: Salary in the range £30,738 - £31,656 p.a.

The laboratory Membrane Biophysics and NMR at the University of Strasbourg has an opening for a PhD position with the goal to investigateantimicrobial peptides associated with membranes or with polymers used in medical applications. The increasing spread of multiresistant pathogens inside and outside hospitals becomes a dangerous threat to human health. Immediate action is needed to overcome this problem and this project aims at preventing such infection in first place by protecting medical devices from bacterial invasion.

A PhD position in online NMR spectroscopy is available at the Laboratory of Engineering Thermodynamics in Kaiserslautern, Germany within the framework of a research project funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). More specifically this project will focus on expanding the use of NMR spectroscopy for reaction and process monitoring. Currently, NMR signals acquired for reaction and process monitoring often display very complex characteristics, making their analysis with conventional methods difficult and error-prone.

The Department of Materials- and Environmental Chemistry (MMK) is one of the largest departments at the Faculty of Natural sciences with about 140 employees. The extensive research activities of MMK, hosting the Berzelii Center EXSELENT for development of nanoporous materials for catalysis, span over Materials and Solid-State Chemistry focusing on different classes of materials; e.g. ceramics and glasses, self-assembled and porous materials, and soft matter.

The Division of Science at New York University Abu Dhabi is inviting applications for a fully-funded postdoctoral associate position in the area of High-Pressure Solid-State NMR in the group of Dr Maria Baias (http://nyuad.nyu.edu/en/academics/faculty/maria-baias.html).

A post-doctoral position in protein NMR is available in the group of Victor Muñoz at the National Biotechnology Center, Madrid, Spain, to work on a research project funded by the ERC Advanced Grant MOLRHEOSTAT.

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral scientist to work on an exciting project focused on understanding the solution behaviour of concentrated monoclonal antibodies. The study will involve use of NMR spectroscopy (1H and 19F) and protein labelling for characterizing protein solutions and mixtures thereof. You will have a PhD (or equivalent) in NMR spectroscopy, biochemistry and/or biophysics, or in a related discipline. Experience is required in protein NMR spectroscopy and basic protein chemistry (protein purification, concentration and labelling, e.g.

The Department of Biophysics at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) is seeking applications for the position of a tenure track Assistant or Associate Professor to become a productive and enthusiastic member of the EPR Spectroscopy and Molecular Biophysics team. We seek to hire a faculty member with experience in EPR spectroscopy as a fundamental aspect of their biomedical research interests and an interest in collaborating on biological applications of advanced EPR instrumentation.
