International Practical School on Advanced Isotopic Labeling Methods for Biological NMR

The Practical School on Advanced Isotopic Labelling Methods for Biological NMR will take place in Grenoble from January 26th to 30th 2015. This training will be based on practical sessions in which challenging biological systems are produced and labelled. Systems such as large multi-domain proteins, large monomeric proteins, oligomeric protein assemblies, large RNAs will be used as well as target RNAs and proteins constructs brought by the participants. Practical sessions will be linked with theoretical classes, and discussion sessions will be organized to promote exchange between participants and instructors.

Practical sessions will cover the following topics:
• Adaptation and optimization of protein over-expression in perdeuterated media
• Methyl specific labeling of large proteins
• Cell-free expression of proteins
• Backbone specific labeling and unlabeling
In vitro production of labeled RNA
In vivo production  of labeled RNA
• Co-expression of RNAs and proteins
• Segmental labeling of proteins & RNAs

The school will be followed by an international workshop on “Advanced Isotopic Labeling Methods for Integrated Structural Biology”, allowing trainees to attend lectures covering latest developments and applications of isotopic labeling methods presented by the leaders in the field.

For the practical school, the registration deadline is October 15th 2014. For more information on the practical school, registration, venue, Instructors and details concerning participant’s RNA and protein constructs  please visit the website :
