The Institute of Pharmacology and Structural Biology, a research center supported by CNRS and the University of Toulouse, is dedicated to academic research in the fields of cancer, infectious diseases biology,
structural biology and biophysics, with a strong focus on the discovery, characterization and validation of novel important pathways and molecular targets in the fields of cancer (tumor microenvironment and DNA repair mechanisms) and respiratory infections (http://www.ipbs.fr).

Currently, we seek to recruit junior group leaders with a strong track record in the fields of cancer biology, infectious diseases, and/or structural biology and biophysics, to join our faculty composed of over 250 researchers and support staff, including more than 60 national and international postdoctoral fellows and PhD students. The selected candidates are expected to develop independent scientific programs contributing to the overall goals of the institute.

Successful candidates will be provided with laboratory and office space, technical support for 2 years, a starting package for basic equipment and consumables, as well as facilitated access to the Institute’s state-of-the-art core facilities that include but are not restricted to: mass spectrometry and proteomics, biocrystallography, NMR, biophysical characterization and virtual screening, whole-body and intravital multiphoton microscopy, confocal microscopy, flow cytometry and cell sorting, single particle tracking and tethered particle motion analysis, and animal facilities. In particular, we count with BSL2 and BSL3 animal
facilities fully equipped with flow cytometry and cell sorting systems, a confocal microscope, and a multiphoton microscope.

In addition, the successful candidates will receive strong support from the Institute to obtain regional and national grants, as well as opportunities for tenured positions at CNRS, INSERM or the University of Toulouse.

Candidates should hold a PhD in a relevant field, and have post-doctoral training. With an excellent academic and publication record, the successful candidates will be well underway in establishing themselves
as internationally recognized experts in their field.

The University of Toulouse and the Institute value diversity and is committed to equality of opportunity. The Institute has a responsibility to ensure that all employees are eligible to live and work in France.
