Post-doc in relaxation and diffusion NMR in Prague

A post-doctoral position is available in the field of Physics of Molecular Structures – Dynamics of molecular clusters in liquids in homogenous and heterogeneous environments.

Major goal of the work is experimental characterization of structure, rotational and translational dynamics, formation, decomposition and reorganization of molecular clusters in liquid homogeneous and heterogenous
(microporous) environments. A key method is NMR spectroscopy, especially measurements of nuclear spin relaxation and measurements of molecular self-diffusion by means of pulsed gradients of magnetic field. Two brand new NMR spectrometers dedicated for liquid state, solid state (magic angle spinning and static conditions with a very broad variable temperature range) and diffusion measurements are available.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. and strong background in physics or physical chemistry, especially in NMR spectroscopy (including relaxation and/or diffusion measurements), thermodynamics, and experimental data processing.

The positions offer:

 - 1 year contract from October 2015 with a possible renewal in case of mutual interest
 - the salary comparable to the starting salary of an Assistant Professor at the Faculty
