Postdoctoral Position at UC Santa Cruz

A postdoctoral position is available at the Sgourakis research group at UC Santa Cruz.

We use solution NMR spectroscopy and computational modeling in combination with standard biochemical and biophysical methods to address fundamental questions in Immune recognition. Our group has extensive access to a 600 MHz Varian instrument and new Bruker 500 and 800 MHz spectrometers, cryoprobe-equipped, and a dedicated computer cluster. The department of Chemistry and Biochemistry offers exceptional core research facilities for mass-spectrometry, MALS, SPR, microcalorimetry, chemical screening and crystallization.

The ideal candidate will have extensive background in biomolecular NMR and protein biochemistry techniques and ability to work independently in integrating new spectroscopy approaches with computational methods.

Interested candidates should send their CV's including the names of three references to Nik Sgourakis (nsgourak@ucsc.edu).
