The National Science Teacher Centers operates with the funding of MALAM and in cooperation with the MOE. The centers initiate and maintain various frameworks for the professional development of instructors and the mentoring of teachers, leading teachers and the entire population of science teachers in Israel.
The centers activities:

  1. Development of teaching materials in various topics, such as: inquiry, innovative pedagogies, ICT, diagnosis and evaluation, differential and personal teaching.
  2. Planning and implementing programs for professional development of teachers, (courses, learning days, seminars)
  3. Dissemination – including translations into Arabic, district tailor-made programs and activities in the periphery
  4. Outreach: Websites in Hebrew and Arabic, annual conferences, publishing teachers magazines, and a direct mailing system.
