Dr. Jacob Hanna in Toronto

On November 3, Weizmann Canada hosted an event at the Shangri-La Hotel in Toronto. Guests were treated to a wonderful evening of science and philanthropy.  Thanks to the generosity of CIBC, Weizmann Canada was able to bring a little taste of the Weizmann Institute to Toronto, including Dr. Jacob Hanna who inspired guests with his work in stem cell research. Additional highlights included tributes to Sharon Zuckerman and to the late Tom Beck. The annual Outstanding Leadership Award was presented to Michele Atlin, Chair of the Women and Science committee, and several new members were inaugurated into the Honour Society.
