Job Description – Project Manager (Medical Device Company)

Company Description:
Start up company, situated in Israel, near Tel Aviv, that develops an innovative IVD system,
for a rapid detection of infectious agents. The company has a very young and dynamic staff,
that develops a single product in a very dynamic and challenging environment.

Position Description:
The Project Manager (PM) will lead and manage a variety of product development and
realization tasks on behalf of the company, in a multidisciplinary manner. This high-impact
role requires an individual, who excels learning on the fly, and who can switch between
planning, analyzing, supporting, and managing multiple tasks, all the while collaborating with
cross-functional teams both internally and externally. The successful PM candidate must be
highly motivated, self-driven, thrive in a fast paced environment and have a demonstrated
ability to work effectively in a small team setting. The position may require some traveling to
Europe, US and possibly China / Taiwan (depending on the pandemic restrictions).

Duties and responsibilities:
• Plan and execute tasks / projects, shifting the system from development to a CE mark and
FDA approved product.
• Define, prioritize and execute project plans, set the schedules, define the tasks and their
milestones, manage budgets, approve new suppliers, come up with creative solutions and
report on the deliverables.
• Serve as liaison and central point of contact for suppliers, engineers, vendors, company
management, quality manager, and operations; building credibility, promoting transparency
and managing expectations.
• Review and analyze complex, integrated project data and information to provide status
updates, insights, conclusions and actionable recommendations.
• Comfortable identifying project risks and clearly communicating them with the company
management. Advise the product team members on decisions regarding deliverables that
are critical to the success of the project and prioritize them accordingly.
• Schedule and lead team meetings, draft agendas and issue meeting reports.
• Draft comprehensive reports and make oral presentations to advise management and
clients of critical constraints, assumptions, risk tradeoffs and progress. Assist the project
team in the completion of deliverables; document and post the results of deliverables.

Education and experience required:
• Bachelor’s degree or a considerable experience in a technical discipline - must.
• Minimum of 2 years of project management experience in a product design and testing or
product manufacturing environment; ideally with expertise in medical device product
development or production transfer.
• Experience coordinating complex multidisciplinary teams – advantage.
• Expertise with managing resources, such as budgets and labor / manpower – advantage.
• Expertise leveraging project management software to develop and maintain detailed
project schedules that meet stated objectives associated with cost, schedule and
specifications – advantage.
• Project management experience in a regulated industry (such as working within ISO 13485
or 9001) – advantage.
• Demonstrated experience in performing Risk Analysis, control of Risk Management File
and / or perform FMEA – advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal skills; must clearly communicate with team members, clients,
vendors, and senior management regarding technical details and project status.
• Fluent in English, both speaking and writing skills - must.
• Good computer skills and operation of technical software (e.g. office, google drive, todoist,
smartsheet, solidworks, project management platform, etc.); must be able to easily search
and extract information from online sources
• Previous experience with project management platform- advantage
• Good organizational, multi-tasking and team-building skills.
