Research Staff – Department of Biomolecular Sciences
Your role will include:
A leading laboratory in the field of structural mass spectrometry is seeking a Research Staff member to join innovative research focused on studying proteins and protein degradation mechanisms in cells and the blood system.
The laboratory develops and applies advanced methods for protein analysis using cutting-edge Mass Spectrometry technologies, including work with a unique instrument specifically developed for the research needs of the lab.
Responsibilities:
• Operation, routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of advanced Mass Spectrometry systems
• Working with innovative research technologies and implementation of new working methods
• Optimization and development of analytical workflows
• Analysis and processing of complex data generated by the instrumentation
• Ongoing collaboration with researchers and participation in groundbreaking research projects
Skills and abilities:
• BSc in Chemistry or MSc in Biology or a relevant scientific field – mandatory
• Knowledge and experience in Python programming – advantage
• Experience or familiarity with Mass Spectrometry – significant advantage
• Experience working with advanced scientific instrumentation – advantage
• Full proficiency in Hebrew and English
• High technical orientation, curiosity, and ability for self-learning
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team
• Accuracy, organization, and ability to handle complex data
