Your role will include:
Laboratory work as part of a new research project investigating the mechanisms underlying plant recovery from drought stress and the relationship between stress recovery, growth regulation, and activation of the plant immune system. The role includes, among other responsibilities:
Conducting experiments using advanced techniques in molecular biology, plant stress physiology, high-throughput phenotyping, and genomics.
Providing administrative and logistical support for the establishment and operation of the laboratory, including inventory management of laboratory materials, procurement of equipment and supplies, and maintenance of laboratory instruments.
Training and mentoring students in laboratory procedures and research techniques
Skills and abilities:
- M.Sc. in Biology – required (Ph.D. – advantage).
- Hands-on experience with molecular biology techniques – required.
- Experience in microscopy – advantage.
- Experience in bioinformatics – advantage.
- Excellent command of Hebrew and English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and high motivation.
