Your role will include:
Responsible for leading the computing services, information systems, and digital innovation of the School of Graduate Studies, through the planning, development, implementation, and operation of advanced computing services supporting the school's academic, administrative, and marketing activities, including, among others:
- Providing professional computing services to all target audiences of the school, including prospective students, students, postdoctoral fellows, academic faculty members, lecturers, school staff, administrative staff, and headquarters units.
- Managing and leading the computing services team, setting priorities and an annual work plan.
- Responsibility for all of the school's information systems, including the website, portals, application, teaching, learning, communication, and multimedia systems, and administrative systems, and providing computing solutions that support academic activity.
- Formulating, implementing, and monitoring a Service Level Agreement (SLA) and quality metrics, leading continuous improvement processes, reducing handling times, increasing user satisfaction, and tailoring computing services to user needs.
- Analyzing trends, identifying needs, and formulating solutions to improve user experience and enhance the accessibility of digital services.
- Coordinating and managing all professional interfaces with the Institute's IT Division and with the Department of Science Teaching, including Moodle-related matters and dedicated developments.
- Leading cross-organizational computing projects, including the implementation of the Monday project and task management system, and leading the implementation of the Student Management system and its ongoing development in line with business needs.
- Leading the processes of scoping, developing, and implementing information systems with vendors and internal stakeholders, including needs assessment, vendor management, acceptance testing, and user support.
- Leading the development and implementation of Self-Service services for prospective students, students, postdoctoral fellows, and scientists.
- Leading automation and workflow processes within the school's systems, including alerts, automated communications, tasks, and approval processes.
- Formulating and leading the school's AI strategy, identifying and implementing AI solutions to streamline work processes, integrating AI tools into service, teaching, marketing, recruitment, and operations, and training employees to promote an AI-based work culture.
- Responsible for implementing information security procedures in accordance with Institute policy, working with information security personnel, promoting awareness, and formulating policy for permissions management, information access, and operational controls.
- Leading the implementation and adoption processes of new systems and technologies among school users, including developing and running training programs, in coordination with the IT Division.
Skills and abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional training – required (Master's degree – an advantage).
- At least 5 years of experience managing a computing or information systems department in a medium or large organization.
- Proven experience managing employees.
- Experience managing and leading IT projects and implementing enterprise information systems.
- Experience working with vendors, internal clients, and key IT stakeholders.
- Experience in defining/scoping business processes and translating them into technological solutions.
- Experience managing LMS (Learning Management Systems) (experience with Moodle is an advantage).
- Experience working with CRM systems and task/project management systems.
- Experience leading digital innovation and implementing AI solutions.
- In-depth familiarity with enterprise information systems.
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure and the Microsoft 365 environment.
- Familiarity with cloud solutions.
- Understanding of API interfaces and system integrations.
- Familiarity with project management systems, such as Monday or similar systems.
- Familiarity with AI tools, such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar enterprise solutions.
- Familiarity with WhatsApp Business systems and automation solutions – an advantage.
- High-level proficiency in Hebrew and English, both written and spoken.
- Broad systems thinking and the ability to work across multiple interfaces.
