ABOUT

The brain is the most complex organ in our body and its health is critical for our ability to engage in a satisfying lifestyle. During its development, the brain forms intricate neural networks whose connectivity and normal function lie at the heart of brain function. During normal development, but also during aging and in a wide variety of diseases, these circuits might undergo changes, specific cells may die or undergo remodeling, in ways that are critical for the functionality of the brain.

In this workshop, scientist from UCLA and WIS converge to discuss brain health, in research disciplines ranging from basic topics in neurodevelopment to topics relevant to human stress. Talks will span different model systems and experimental strategies.
