Optional Tours

Whether visiting from overseas or local, conference participants are invited to discover the City of Eilat and its surrounds.

The conference secretariat has arranged a few optional tours to a few of the many amazing sites the city has to offer. These tours are operated by Ortra Ltd. (an event planning company), providing the flexibility to select your preferred tour options and travel dates, including after the conference.

Eilat Mountain Jeep tour

The tour will depart from the hotel. We will drive to the Eilat Mountains & explore the unique area with its landscape, where igneous rock mountains and sedimentary rocks meet, bisected, and carved by deep vast canyons that stretch their outlets into The Arava and the blue Eilat bay.

Itinerary:

13:00 - Pick up from Isrotel Yam Suf hotel.

16:00 - Estimated time of return to the hotel.

Underwater Marine Park

A visit to Eilat's coral world underwater observatory, which is a public aquarium, park and conservation center. It is the biggest public aquarium in Israel, and hosts over 800 species.

Itinerary:

13:15 - View point over Eilat
14:00 - Enter the Under Water Observatory
16:00 - Return to Hotel

Dolphin Reef

DOLPHIN REEF EILAT, on the shores of the Red Sea, is an ecological site unique in Israel and throughout the world where visitors can enjoy a natural atmosphere, magical views, and secluded beach, together with the unusual opportunity of meeting and observing dolphins in their natural habitat.

Visitors can enjoy getting close to the dolphins from our floating piers and observation points or during one of our guided swims or dives, suitable to anyone who is not afraid of getting wet.

Itinerary:
13:00 - Pick up from Eilat Hotel
13:15 - View point over Eilat
14:00 - Dolphin Reef – optional dives with dolphins
16:00 - Return to Hotel.

Petra 1 day tour

Our one day Petra tour from Eilat offers a truly amazing experience. This legendary ‘lost city’ of Petra was carved into the walls of a desert canyon over 2500 years ago. It is located just a short ride after entering into the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan making it a perfect destination for a one day tour from Eilat.

Guests will be picked up from the hotel in Eilat. The Petra day tour from Eilat will begin by crossing the border into Jordan, and driving through the unique desert landscape of Wadi Rum. On arrival to Petra, you’ll enjoy a guided tour of the magical site, Walk through the Siq, a narrow gorge one kilometre long filled with interesting niches, shrines and carvings.
Itinerary:
07:30 – Pick up from hotel in Eilat
08:00 - Cross ISR – JRD border
10:30 - Enter Petra, visit site.
15:00 - Lunch in local restaurant.
16:00 - Exit Petra & drive back to Aqaba.
18:00 – Estimated return at Arava border

  • Tours do not include meals (except for the petra tour which includes lunch), drinks & personal expenses.
  • The dolphin reef tour does not include swimming or diving with the dolphins.
