Welcome to Weizmann - Alberta Nanoscience Meeting

Welcome to the first Weizmann Institute – University of Alberta Meeting on Nanoscience! The University of Alberta is one of Canada’s top-5 universities and home to Canada’s flagship National Institute for Nanotechnology. The Weizmann Institute of Science is Israel’s top research institute and home to the Kimmel Center for Nanoscale Science and the Submicron Center. The aim of this meeting is to get to know each other and our respective advances in nanoscience, and promote collaborations between our two top Institutions.

In order to cover a wide range of our “nano” activities this meeting will focus on three broad topics:

  • Nanomaterials for Energy
  • Biologically Inspired Nanomaterials
  • Nanodevices and Systems

The meeting will include one full day and two half days of talks and poster session, and two half-days of touring and social activities meant to foster interactions between the scientists of our two institutions.

Please register ASAP, so we can count with you for our program, and encourage your students to attend and present their posters. Enjoy the meeting!
