Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the Organizing Committee it gives me great pleasure to invite you to the forthcoming EMBO Workshop on Pathogenesis of Amoebiasis: From Genomics to Disease, which will be held at the Guest House, Kibbutz Ein Gedi, Israel, November 16 20, 2004.
The aim of the workshop is to assemble the scientists and medical community dealing with Amoebiasis to report on their recent research progress, to exchange information and to expand cooperation in our common quest to find a solution to this worldwide disease.
On the edge of the Judean Desert, overlooking the Dead Sea, the Guest House at Kibbutz Ein Gedi is the perfect location for our workshop. This quiet oasis will provide our participants with peace and quiet, far away from the bustle of every day life. We will have time to mingle with one another and enjoy the unique features of this area, the history and archaeology of the Judean Desert, the distinctive flora in the Botanical Gardens and the soothing, healing waters of the mineral rich Dead Sea.
We look forward to welcoming you to Ein Gedi the lowest point on earth
(-412 m below sea level) for what we hope will be a highlight in your calendar.
Sincerely

David Mirelman
on behalf of the Workshop Organizing Committee
