How to Register

We recommend you to read the instructions in this page prior to registering for the workshop. The registration is handled through the Indico system which is built into this web-site, you will be transferred there automatically.

Registration to Indico

The Indico system of the Weizmann Institute does not share its user database with CERN. Even if you use CERN Indico system, you still need to create Weizmann Indico account. A way to do it is by clicking at the link: Register to WIS Indico. The registration is straightforward, however we suggest that you choose "Event Timezone" option so that the events appear at the local time.

Once registered, you will receive an email confirming your registration. If it does not come within 15min, please write mail to lowx@weizmann.ac.il

Submit Title or a Topic for Discussion

You can submit a talk, an abstract or suggest a topic for discussion using Suggest Talk button from menu on the left or doing the same inside the Indico system. You can submit multiple topics or add abstracts and modify them later.

Registering for the workshop

Registering to the workshop does not require immediate payment, however we encourage you to pay early registration fee effective until March 15, 2013.

  • You have to have an Indico account (see above).
  • Use the Registration button on the left. Read the registration form carefully as it contains some legal information you have to agree upon.
  • You will be asked to choose hotel option both in Rehovot and in Eilat at the time of registration. Please read the information in Accommodation and Travel sections of this web site to make the choice of the hotels and arrival / departure dates. You will be able to change your registration in the Indico system during the time period listed in the workshop Calendar but we kindly ask you to contact organizes in case you need to make modification.
  • Once you filled the registration form click on the register button at the bottom of the page. You will see a summary of your registration, which is also mailed to you.

Paying the registration fee

If you are paying at the time of registration, just continue. If you filled your form previousely but did not pay, you will be asked to review/modify your registration once again. 

To proceed to the payment form press next--> button at the bottom of the page. You will be offered two payment options:

  • to pay with a credit card
  • to pay by the bank transfer

Please note that we will not be able to take on-site registration payments in cash. For the first option we accept all major credit cards, for the second option you should send a mail to Reut Hershenhoren who provides you corresponding information. 

if you choose to pay with a credit card a payment form will appear where you are prompted to provide your name, the name of the person you pay for (if different from yours), and some details. You will also need to put the sum of money into the payment form by yourself. If you modify your registration, especially if it involves the amount of money you already paid, we urge you to contact the organizers before making such modification. Clicking on submit button will prompt you credit card details. Please note that by the law, the Weizmann Institute is not allowed to keep your credit card information. It will be erased immediately after receiving the payment.

If the payment passes, you receive the payment confirmation mail within several days. Only the form sent by the organizers confirms your registration to the Workshop. If you do not receive the confirmation within 2-3 working days after payment, please send us an email.

How to prepare your talk

Formats

Only talk in digital form are accepted. If you have transparences please scan them in advance. A talk can be submitted in one of the following forms: 

  • Adobe PDF (recommended)
  • Powerpoint ppt or pptx
  • Apple keynote file (may be)

Submission

The files shall be uploaded to the Indico system before your talk. We strongly discourage you from using your own computers and we also ask you not to send files to the organizers by mail or transferring them by flash drives. Please follow these instructions to upload file to indico:

  • Click on the "Timetable" button in the menu.
  • Check that you are logged in. The field at the top left corner of the brouser should show your name. If not, click on the word "login".

  • In the "Display options" on the top choose "contribution" and hit "apply"

  • Find your talk and click on the title
  • You should see manage material button, click on it

  • You will see a menu which allows you to uppload slides: Choose slide on your local disc, then hit submit button

  • you can remove your old file if you want to make an update.
