We welcome you to the 2nd Symposium on Video Resources for Mathematics Teacher Development.

The symposium brings together guest speakers from the United States, Australia and Germany, who will share their expertise in studying the field of professional development for mathematics teachers, with special emphasis on the use of video as a central tool. We are confident that the symposium will enrich all of us with new insights.

The symposium will take place at the new Lopatie Conference Centre at the Weizmann Institute of Science. It is the second symposium on this subject held at the Weizmann Institute, following the successful event which took place in January 2013. The event is free-of-charge, however, registration is required so that we can properly prepare for the amount of participants.

Please note that all lectures and discussions will be held in English.

אנו מקדמים אתכם בברכה לסימפוזיון השני בנושא שימושי וידאו להכשרת מורי מתמטיקה, בהשתתפות אורחינו מארה"ב, אוסטרליה וגרמניה, חוקרים בעלי שם בתחום הוראת המתמטיקה. בסימפוזיון יציגו האורחים את עבודתם בתחום הפיתוח המקצועי של מורי מתמטיקה, בדגש על הוידאו ככלי מרכזי. אנו בטוחים כי הסימפוזיון יעשיר את כולנו בתובנות חדשות.

הסימפוזיון יתקיים במרכז הכנסים ע”ש לופאטי במכון ויצמן למדע ברחובות. זהו האירוע השני בנושא המתקיים במכון ויצמן, לאחר יום העיון שנערך בינואר 2013 וזכה להיענות רבה. ההשתתפות בסימפוזיון אינה כרוכה בתשלום, אולם נדרשת הרשמה מראש על מנת שנוכל להיערך בהתאם.
