FGS Mobile App and Desktop App support

About the Apps

It's free.

Login (mobile)

Login is possible only for Heads of Research Groups and for FGS students and postdocs.

Step 1:

Open the app and type in your ID number (Israelis), or  your passport number. If your passport number contains characters  then you need to type them in as well.

Step 2:

Type in the 8-digit code that you should receive by text message upon completing step 1.

Step 3:

You may decide to set a biometric feature as your login default method.

First time login requires your ID number (or your passport number). Once your ID is authenticated by the system, an 8-digit code is sent to your personal cellphone. In order to avoid logging in each time, you may add the option to open the app by the biometric supported protocol on your mobile device (finger print or face id). It is possible to set a biometric attribute as a default authentication method at anytime

Troubleshooting: Students and postdocs

Wrong ID or passport number
If the system fails to authenticate your ID or passport number then please contact your FGS HR coordinator to ensure that the correct number is stored in the FGS and the HR systems. Remember that if your passport number contains characters  then you need to type them in as well.

Wrong cellphone number
If at first login the system authenticated your ID or passport number but did not send you any code then please contact your FGS HR coordinator to ensure that the correct Israeli cellphone number is stored in the FGS and the HR systems.

Login from abroad
Before going abroad you may want to change the login method to biometric. Especially if you plan to change your Israeli SIM to a local SIM.

Apps features (Heads of Research Groups)

Notes:

Data Protection Act
The Data Protection Act restricts the scope of information and that can be retrieved and tasks that can be performed on this App. For instance, the mobile App can present only part of the comprehensive set of data on your current and past students and postdocs that is available to you on the desktop App.

Towards stage TWO
At this stage, several of the FGS online services (e.g. Evaluation of reports &  theses), are still in their "old" format and form. In the coming months, they too will undergo a significant transformation and upgrading to the new format and design.
