Visiting Positions

The Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science welcomes visiting scientists and encourages international scientific cooperation. The prospective visitor can refer to a list of research interests of faculty members, or contact one of our Department Heads.

We offer, primarily, two avenues for visitors: Short visits, from a day visit up to few weeks, and long visits, between two months and one year. In both cases we prefer that the visitor be hosted by one or more of our faculty members who share similar research interests with the visitor.

Short visits may include delivering a talk in one of our regular seminars. It is advisable that the proposed visitor or host contact  the relevant seminar organizer ahead of time. Short visits are supported by either the host or by departmental resources.

Visiting scientists who wish to visit for the longer period may be supported by one of the visiting fellowship programs offered by the Weizmann Institute of Science. While it is possible for a prospective visitor to apply directly to these programs, it is advisable that it be done in coordination with a prospective host and/or a Department Head.
