Yadin Dudai, Ph.D.
I am interested in memory as a concept and in memory as a brain faculty, and in the interrelationships among the two. In addition to my scientific activities, and on the top of the time I spend on administration and public commitments, I am also interested in collective memory, and in the evolution of cultural organs, such as the cinema.

In am interested in real-life long-term memories, particularly those that are maintained for the purpose of completion of a defined task and subsequently might be forgotten. I am interested in uncovering the neural mechanisms that underlie these memories and the processes that subserve forgetting. In my spare time I enjoy photography and making necklaces.

My research interests focus on the neurobiology, pharmacology and behavioural economics of decision-making, reward and motivation processes in humans. I am currently attempting to use neurofeedback in order to enable people to control activity in specific brain regions responsible for certain aspects of decision-making and thereby exert greater control over commonly noted irrationalities and biases which influence choice.
I like to contemplate the above while lazing on the beach with some inspiring music.

I am interested in retrieval failure of real-life memories (suppression, forgetting etc.) and I'd like to investigate the brain mechanisms that underlie these phenomena. I am also interested in the effect of social interactions on memory performance. I aim to try to use real time fMRI in order to explore the mechanisms subserving the phenomena above.
I usually spend my spare time reading, writing, enjoying music and the cinema and mainly trying to recall what I just wanted to do.

My research focuses on memory retrieval in humans which triggers reconsolidation and its relationship to metamemory processes. For this purpose I use behavioral experimental tools which are applied to real-life episodic memory, from which I aim to uncover such relationships. My other activities are: high-tech entrepreneurship and active social contribution. My favorite sport activity is mountain biking.

My research focuses on the neuronal and behavioral processes that modulate the encoding of new episodic memories in humans. Specifically, using behavioral, physiological and imaging methods, I examine processes that occur prior to an event and predict whether it will be remembered or not. My PhD research focused on the reciprocal links between emotion and attentional networks, especially executive control, in healthy and in sub-clinical populations. When not in the lab, I enjoy meeting friends and traveling in Israel and abroad.

I'm interested in our ability to segment continuous flow of information into meaningful units and its interaction with memory. I would like to identify the minimal conditions needed for the emergence of boundaries separating such events and the neural mechanisms underlying the process. I also enjoy going to the beach, reading and practicing Yoga.

I'm interested in the cellular mechanism of remembering and forgetting. Currently I am investigating the effects of amnesic agents on synaptic plasticity. This work is carried out in collaboration with Prof. Menahem Segal. I enjoy arts and crafts, reading and cinema.

My research focuses on the influence of schemata on memory - why do we forget or distort certain information that doesn't match our expectations, and what is "surprising enough to write home about". In my spare time I enjoy playing music and acting.

Ever since I was little I was fascinating by sleep and wondering what occurs in our brain when our consciousness fades. I am interested in how memories continue to be processed after their acquisition, and how they consolidated during sleep. I am also intrigued by the relations between the olfactory system and memory. In my spare time I enjoy reading, painting, going to the beach and spend time with my friends and family.
