The Faculty of Physics is always looking to hire excellent young researchers in all areas of physics. Our tenure track usually starts at the Senior Scientist level, broadly equivalent to an Assistant Professor level in US universities. Tenure decisions are typically made after 4 to 6 years, upon promotion to the Associate professor level. Candidates, usually after a few years of post-doctoral training, are encouraged to apply. The Weizmann Institute and the Faculty of Physics supply a supportive environment in which young researchers can thrive. While the faculty tends to be very selective in its hiring process, those hired are given all means and support to succeed. Other important factors are the modern facilities, the excellent students and the beautiful campus, all helping to form a unique atmosphere for research.
