Development of cytoskeletal modulation for the treatment of glaucoma

The intraocular pressure that affects the retina in glaucoma patients can be lowered by variety of cytoskeleton targeted treatments We use electron microscopy to monitor the structural changes induced by drugs such as H-7 and latrunculin as well as cytoskeletal-active proteins, including caldesmon and C3 toxin (introduced by infection with adenoviral vectors, containing the respective genes).
