WHAT WE DO

The research in the department spans the general fields of Molecular Science and Nanoscience. The research in the department is of a broad spectrum, much different than what you would find in a classic “Organic” Chemistry Department. Our interests include research in organic, inorganic, organometallic, bioinorganic, bioorganic, catalytic, computational and nano-chemistry. Present research areas include sustainable chemistry, renewable energy, bioanalytical sensing, molecular based devices, functional materials, surface chemistry, self assembly, chemistry and the nanoscale, supramolecular chemistry, the chemistry of vision, computational chemistry, chemical biology and small molecule interactions with proteins and magnetic resonance spectroscopy for imaging.
