Wednesday, 16 July afternoon

Short one-on-one advisory sessions (~45 min.) with Ms. Lotte Jaspers are offered to potential ERC-AdG applicants. The sessions will be held at the Weizmann Institute on the afternoon of Wednesday, 16 July. During these sessions, in which researchers will be asked to provide a short outline of the challenge they aim to address and chosen panel, the consultant will provide feedback and further information on the chosen panel, ideas for structuring the project and how elements as groundbreaking nature, ambition and feasibility could be best addressed within the proposal.

About the consultant: Lotte Jaspers, a partner at Yellow Research, a European consultancy company, has extensive experience in running EU workshops and in the pre-submission proposal review of EU projects and has served as an invited expert evaluator for the European Commission.

Registration: Interested researchers are asked to register by Sunday, 6 July 2014. Please kindly take note that as the number of sessions is limited, they will be confirmed to researchers in order of registration. Should there be high demand, additional slots may also be made available on Thursday, 17 July.

In order to enhance the efficiency of the session, registrees will be contacted by the EU Desk with the request to provide the following background information on their intended proposal by Wednesday, 8 July:

  1. Short outline (1/2 page) on the challenge to be addressed by the project, the key concept with which it will be addressed and underpinning evidence (such as preliminary data, pilot project, algorithm etc) available for the high-risk parts of the proposal.
  2. Intended choice of primary review panel (and secondary review panel if applicable)
  3. Intended primary keyword

Scientists are not required to pay for these sessions and are under no obligation to later engage the consultancy services of Yellow Research.
