Hundreds of world-leading researchers in immunology convened February 2-5 at the Next Gen Immunology Conference at the Weizmann Institute—a gathering that has now become the “go-to” conference in in the field for scientists, postdocs, and students. The conference is held every two years in partnership with the prestigious journal Nature.
Led by Profs. Eran Elinav and Ido Amit of the Department of Immunology, the conference highlighted discussions between scientists, clinicians, and the pharma industry; and new tools like in vivo imaging, single-cell sequencing, and new genomics approaches that will advance the understanding of the microbiome, the nervous system, cancer, metabolism, and beyond. The conference included some 85 poster sessions.
The event was sponsored by the Moross Integrated Cancer Center, the Azrieli Institute for Systems Biology, the Nancy and Stephen Grand Israel National Center for Personalized Medicine, and industry partners including Merck and Teva Pharmaceuticals.
