Some 27 American Committee friends from Southern California, the New York Tri-State area, Florida, the Bay Area, Colorado, and Arizona enjoyed a weeklong mission. Twelve members of the group began the trip in Petra, by way of Eilat, where they experienced the rich history of the Jordanian archaeological city. A few days later, all participants came together in Jerusalem, where they visited landmarks such as the Old City and Yad Vashem. Later in the week, they explored the ancient ruins of port cities Caesarea and Acco. The trip culminated with the 69th Annual General Meeting of the International Board at the Weizmann Institute. On campus, the group joined about 40 American Committee lay and professional leaders, forming one of the largest U.S. delegations ever to the International Board Meeting. The successful mission imparted an enriched understanding of the Institute’s impact on Israel and the world.
