Morning of Love

WeizmannVibe’s last gathering prior to the outbreak of the coronavirus crisis was held at Alma Spencer in Tel Aviv to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Prof. Ran Balicer, a member of the WeizmannVibe Club and Director of the Clalit Research Institute, shared his insights on COVID-19 and the spread of contagion.

The highlights of the event included a co-show of the musician Yermi Kaplan and biochemist and a talk by Weizmann alumna Dr. Liat Yakir called “the Chemistry and Music of Love”. Dr. Yakir talked about the differences between the male and female brains and the consequences of these differences on romantic relationships and explained in a genetic and evolutionary perspective how to maintain a long lasting partnership. Yermi Kaplan ended the show with a few of his famous songs, to the audience’s delight.
