Campus visit by Ecuador’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility

On November 23, the Weizmann Institute was honored to host the Foreign Minister of Ecuador, Maria Fernanda Espinosa Garcés. The Minister was in Israel as part of an official visit to strengthen ties between the two countries. She visited the Institute to highlight Israel’s prowess in scientific innovation. The group was welcomed by Dany Schmit, Weizmann Latin America CEO and met with Prof. Israel Bar-Joseph, Vice President for Resource Development and Public Affairs.

The delegation included Israel’s Ambassador in Ecuador, Edwin Yabo, and Ecuador’s Ambassador in Israel, Maria Gabriela Troya.
