Job Description
Nobio, an advanced material, commercial-stage startup, is seeking for a bright, energetic, ambitious and experienced material-technologies researcher, to promote the development of products incorporating its revolutionary nano-particles technology. The Company’s platform technology is based on functional nano-particles that are incorporated in various materials for a wide range of usages. The company already has several FDA approved products currently being commercialized, as well as partnerships with global industry leaders.
The researcher of Product Development is an important position within the R&D organization, where the selected candidate will work in a team responsible for the complete development cycle of the company’s final products, incorporating its functional nanoparticles, from concept to commercialization, working side-by-side with the core technology team.
The researcher of Product Development will report to the VP of product development.
Responsibilities
- Develop material-based products incorporating the company’s technology, manage product development of new products as well as life-cycle management of existing products
- Work on design inputs and specifications, formulations and execution
- Engage and manage external experts, labs, facilities and institutions to supplement the organizational knowledge and capabilities, to accelerate and improve outcomes
- Manage design and development documentation, internal/external testing
Requirements
- Hands on capabilities is a must
- MSc/PhD in Materials Engineering/chemistry/ plastics/polymers engineering from a leading institution
- 2-5 years’ industrial R&D experience in advanced/functional materials, polymers and/or formulations. Preference for medical devices/ dentistry experience; advantage for candidates with both large and small company background
- QC/QA experience – an advantage
- Wide knowledge and expertise in polymers and functional materials
- Quick learner
- Independence, while being creative, open minded and able to stimulate out-of-the-box thinking
- Accurate and methodological
- Capable to work under pressure and intensively
- Team player
- Excellent interpersonal relationship
- Excellent English and Hebrew skills (written and spoken)
