The Position
We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to join the Effector Function and Cell Biology group in the Department of Bioanalytical Sciences at Genentech, Inc. The candidate will join a dynamic team with strong and extensive experiences in cell biology, immunology and assay development. The individual will apply multiomics single cell genomics technologies, TCR characterization, cellular immuneophenotyping and gene editing to study biological pathways leading to immunogenicity. The candidate will work closely with molecular/cell biologists, immunologists, and computational scientists across gRED and will have the opportunity to gain exposure to the drug development process. The expectation is that this work will result in significant advances and publications in top tier journals.
Job Requirements
The successful candidate has to be a recent or pending PhD or MD/PhD graduate in a field of immunology or a related field with a proven ability to conduct impactful research as indicated by at least one first author paper published or accepted in high-impact journals.
Additional Recommended Qualifications
Strong experience in T cell immunology
Ability to create, run, and modify R scripts and/or Python and strong data analysis skills are needed.
Expertise in scRNA (single cell genomics) and next generation sequencing library preparation workflows is preferred
Experience with fluorescence microscopy and new microscopy techniques is a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
