Your role will include:

Oversee resources, budgets, and infrastructure required for the scientific and administrative activities of the department, including:

  • Budget management – planning, managing, monitoring, and controlling budgets, centers, research grants, and the department’s operating budget.
  • Human resources management – coordinating HR matters with the Human Resources Division and the Academic Secretariat: onboarding, placement, status changes, staffing needs, and payroll budgeting.
  • Departmental procurement management – responsible for issuing and monitoring purchase orders.
  • Supervision of physical infrastructure operations and maintenance – participating in construction and renovation projects, allocating and assigning lab space to scientists, monitoring maintenance, and ensuring the proper provision of essential services.
  • Support for visiting scientists and students – coordinating with the International Office and guest housing.
  • Planning and budgeting events, seminars, and conferences.
  • Managing the administrative and operational staff of the department.

Skills and abilities:

   

 

  •   Academic degree / Certified Engineer / Certified Technician – required
    (Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering & Management, or a Master’s degree – advantage)

  •   At least 2 years of experience in budget management – required

  • At least 2 years of experience managing a team – required

  • Full command of Hebrew and English (scientific English is an advantage), including written and spoken communication.

  •  Systemic perspective and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.

  •  High computer literacy, including proficiency in Office applications; advantage for knowledge of Tafnit and Oracle HR.
