Your role will include:

  • End-to-end responsibility for managing incoming Master’s and PhD students and applicants.

    Tasks include:

  • Organizing Open Day events, reviewing application forms and completing required documents.
  • Preparing materials for admission committees and implementing their decisions.
  • Allocating students to relevant research groups within the institute.
  • Overseeing completion of rotations, submission of progress reports, fulfillment of credit requirements, and thesis examinations.
  • Processing requests for extensions, personal accommodation requests (e.g. unpaid leave, scholarships), early completion, group changes, etc.
  • Coordinating regularly with the committee responsible for teaching affairs in the Faculty of Life Sciences.
  • Managing incoming guest student applications and placements.
  • Supporting unique programs such as “Frontiers in the Life Sciences.”
  • Administering tailored academic programs for military-serving students.
  • Supporting students during medical leave (WB) and other crisis situations, in coordination with the Student Dean’s Office.
  • Performing any other tasks assigned by the Head of the Field.

Skills and abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree – mandatory; Master’s degree – an advantage.
  • Full professional fluency in Hebrew and English – essential.
  • At least two years of relevant experience – mandatory.
  • Experience in higher education institutions – a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, thoroughness, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under pressure.
  • Willingness to work intensively during and beyond standard hours.
  • Strong ability to work independently; adaptable and flexible in dynamic environments.
  • Initiative-taking, team-player attitude, volunteering to assist the school team when needed.
  • Strong organizational skills with adherence to procedures and specific guidelines.
  • Experience managing institutional interfaces – a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
