Your role will include:

An organized and proactive Laboratory Manager with hands-on experience in wet chemistry, responsible for managing the laboratory’s day-to-day operations and fostering an excellent research environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Management of laboratory operations and safety.
  • Inventory maintenance, communication with suppliers, and procurement of equipment and laboratory supplies.
  • Maintenance, improvement, and documentation of protocols.
  • Training, mentoring, and supervision of students and lab members.
  • Knowledge management, process improvement, and implementation of efficient workflows.
  • The position also includes fieldwork and the planning and organization of field sampling campaigns/expeditions.

 

Skills and abilities:

  • A graduate degree in a relevant field.
  • Hands-on experience in a wet chemistry laboratory – required.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Creative thinking and the ability to solve problems outside the box.
