The laboratory of Professor Mike Fainzilber at the Weizmann Institute of Science is seeking a Research Staff member for molecular neurobiology research.
Our lab investigates the molecular mechanisms that enable nerve cells to grow and regenerate after injury. We focus on the unique challenges faced by exceptionally long axons and the sensing and control mechanisms of neurons in both health and disease.
The role includes:
- Diverse experimental bench-work, combining projects with human and animal neural cell cultures and tissues.
- Performing advanced molecular biology techniques: Western Blot, ELISA, PCR, and DNA gel electrophoresis.
- Working with small molecules and cell-based assays.
- Responsibility for advancing research projects and collaborating with the laboratory team.
