AWARD MECHANISM: There are two types of Prize : 1. Descartes Prize for Collaborative Research This Prize is awarded to teams of researchers who have achieved outstanding scientific or technological results through collaborative research in any field of science,including the social sciences, humanities and economics. 2. Descartes Prize for Science Communication With this prize, the European Commission intends to stimulate interest and careers in science communication, and to improve the Quality of science communication towards the general public.
