AWARD MECHANISMS:

  • Conferences: Support of scholarly and scientific meetings, in particular small conferences.
  • Stipends: Aimed at young scholars and researchers with a doctoral degree, normally within a year or two following completion of the doctorate.
  • Travel Subsidies: Subsidies for travel costs which arise in connection with scholarly or scientific research. General educational travel, excursions and travel subsidies for lectures or for participation in workshops and conferences cannot be supported.
SCIENTIFIC AREAS: The sole purpose of the foundation is the direct support of scholarship and research at universities and non-profit research institutions, primarily in Germany, with special emphasis on giving help to young scholars. The support of international cooperation is also one of the aims of the foundation.

  • Conferences:
    • 28 February 2013 - to FTS.
    • 31 May 2013 - to the FTS.
    • 31 August 2013 - to the FTS.
    • 30 November 2013 - to the FTS.
Please note that applications need to be submitted at least 3 months before the planned date of the meeting.
  • Stipends: Applications may be submitted at any time - to the FTS.
  • Travel Subsidies: Applications may be submitted at any time - to the FTS.

MODE OF APPLICATION: Explicit guidelines for Conferences, Stipends , and Travel Subsidies applications are available. A copy of the application should be submitted to the RGP for review at least one week in advance of the submission deadline for follow-up purposes.
OTHER TYPES of AWARDS OFFERED by FTS: Research grants are available.
