AWARD MECHANISMS:
- Scholars from academic institutions are invited to submit a proposal for a conference to the ISA Academic Committee. The topics covered are wide ranging and diverse, including natural sciences, social sciences and humanities. The duration of each conference is approximately 2 to 7 days.
Some of the conferences are sponsored solely by the IAS; others are jointly sponsored with the Israel Science Fundation (ISF).
- The IAS encourages scholars and scientists from all over the world to submit proposals for research groups. All scientific research topics or fields of study are eligible for application. Research groups are convened by a proposal initiator(s) who nominates a total of eight candidate fellows, including him/herself. Groups are comprised of at least three scholars from abroad. The initiator is responsible for coordinating the group's activities. The Institute's academic year runs from September 1st to August 1st. Proposals should include a request for a five-month or ten-month residency period (exceptions may be granted to research groups in experimetial sciences, to be in residence for a 3 months period).

- Conferences: 6 January 2013 - to IAS.
- Research groups:
- Stage I: 6 January 2013 - to IAS.
- Stage II: By invitation.
ACTIVATION DATE(S):
For research groups:
- 10 month groups: 1 September 2014.
- 5 month groups: 1 March 2015.
MODE OF APPLICATION:
A copy of the application should be submitted to the RGP
for review at least one week in advance of the submission deadline for follow-up purposes.
