SCIENTIFIC AREAS:
The purpose of this call is to promote and support the holding of annual conferences for international scientific organizations in Israel in the years 2011-2012.
ELIGIBILITY AND CRITERIA:
- The proposing researcher must be affiliated with the international organization.
- The researcher will serve as the chairperson of the conference's organizing committee.
- An IMOS representative will serve on the organizing committee.
- An IMOS representative will address the conference.
- Conference participants will be both Israeli and foreign scientists.
- The proposed conference may be supported/funded by another Israeli government ministry for less than 25% of the overall budget.
- The researcher must present complementary funding sources for the remaining conference costs.
AMOUNT: Up to ₪20,000 per conference.
SUBMISSION DATE(S): 15 September 2011 - to the RGP (to reach IMOS by 22 September 2011).
MODE OF APPLICATION: The application must be prepared according to IMOS guidelines on IMOS forms and submitted to the RGP as email attachments:
- Submission forms must be in Word format
- Required approvals, in PDF format.
| Note: As it is a Weizmann Institute requirement that the Finance Division approve the budget before the RGP can endorse an application, it is strongly recommended that the budget be submitted for approval as early as possible. Since on occasion the budget must be modified by the researcher further to input received by the Finance Division, the RGP recommends that with the assistance of the Departmental Administrator (Minhalan), the budget be prepared and submitted for approval to the Finance Division, if possible, even before the scientific parts of the application are complete. |

AUTHORIZATION: Proposals will be received by the RGP for processing only after the financial statement has been checked and approved by the projects section of the Finance Department and the Internal Form submitted.
