AWARD MECHANISM: IMOS is offering fellowships to Ph.D students and Postdocs commemorating the late Prof. Yuval Ne'eman, the founder of IMOS and one of the pioneers of scientific-technological research in Israel.

SCIENTIFIC AREAS:

  • Science and society, specifically bridging social and sectorial gaps
  • Science policy

ELIGIBILITY:

  • Ph.D students and Postdocs who dedicate most of their time to research.
  • If successful, the researcher MUST partake in 100 hours of volunteer activities.

AMOUNT:

  • Ph.D Fellowships: ₪250,000 per fellowship
  • Postdoctoral Fellowships: ₪200,000 per fellowship

NUMBER OF AWARDS: 2 awards altogether.

SUPPORT PERIOD:

  • Ph.D Fellowships: 3 years.
  • Postdoctoral Fellowship: 2 years.

SUBMISSION DATE(S): 24 May 2011 - to the RGP (to reach IMOS by 31 May 2011)

ACTIVATION DATE(S): October 2011.


MODE OF APPLICATION: The application must be prepared according to IMOS-Ne'eman guidelines on IMOS-Ne'eman forms. Applications should be submitted to the RGP in 7 hard copies, as well as by email to Neeman@most.gov.il (with a CC to RGP office),in Adobe PDF or Microsoft Word format. Please make sure to provide confirmation from the Feinberg Graduate School that the post-doctoral candidate is approved for post-doc status at the Weizmann Institute for the duration of the proposed fellowship.
