AWARD MECHANISM: The Kurt Gödel Research Prize Fellowships Program is sponsored by the John Templeton Foundation and offers two post-doctoral fellowships of €50,000 per annum for two years.

SCIENTIFIC AREAS: The purpose of these fellowships is to support original research in, and areas surrounding, the foundations of mathematics. Topic areas are:

  • Set Theory
  • Recursion Theory
  • Proof theory/Intuitionism
  • Model Theory
  • Computer Assisted Reasoning
  • Philosophy of Mathematics
SUBMISSION DATE(S): 15 November 2010.
MODE OF APPLICATION: KGS guidelines and conditions are available. Applications must also contain an original unpublished article (that can have different content from the proposal) formatted according to the APAL Journal guidelines. Proposals should be submitted online. In addition, one hard copy should be submitted to the RGP. Prior to submission please obtain confirmation from the Feinberg Graduate School on the candidate's post-doc status at the Weizmann Institute for the duration of the proposed fellowship.
