SCIENTIFIC AREAS:
Fellowship - For training in Biomedical or Behavior research which is intended to broaden scientific background or to extend potential for research in health - related areas.
Exchange - To promotes collaborative research between established U.S. and foreign scientists by supporting, in part, exchange visits of U.S. cancer researchers to foreign laboratories, or foreign cancer researchers to U.S. laboratories. The visits may be from one week to six months in duration.

ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS:
Fellowship - At the time of application, individuals must be citizens or non citizen nationals of the United States.
Applicants requesting foreign training must show in the application that the foreign institution and sponsor offer special opportunities that are not currently available in the United States. Only in cases where there are clear scientific advantages will foreign training be supported.

Exchange - Candidates must have a minimum of three years postdoctoral experience in cancer research and have an invitation from a qualified sponsor. Sponsors or exchanges from the U.S must be NCI - supported principal investigators.
