AWARD MECHANISM: Up to $50,000 per year for up to 2 years.

SCIENTIFIC AREAS: The RSDSA Pain Research Fund supports clinical and basic research activities. The purpose of the Fund is to facilitate the completion of relevant research that will improve our understanding of the epidemiology, natural history, pathophysiology, pathomechanics, diagnosis and treatment of RSDS/CRPS-1.

ELIGIBILITY:

  • Post-doc/4th year resident through assistant professor in the area of pain.
  • Must designate a research mentor (who will provide a letter of support) who has actively published chronic pain research preferably on CRPS.
  • Must devote at least 40% of time (2 days) to this research project.
SUBMISSION DATE(S): 23 December 2010 - to the RGP (to reach the RSDSA by 1 January 2011).


MODE OF APPLICATION: The foundation does not use official forms for applications. Applications must, however, be prepared according to guidelines issued by the RSDSA, and be submitted to the RGP in 6 hard copies.
